1. Enrolment & confirmation
By enrolling, you accept the contract and travel terms and conditions of English Mindset (E M). Once we have received your enrolment via our website, we will confirm your language stay within 7 working days. We’ll inform you quickly.
We recommend that you book your flight/train ticket once you have received your booking confirmation from our admissions centre. In the case of a late enrolment, 8 weeks (or less) prior to your departure, a last-minute fee of GBP 30 is invoiced. The total amount of your language travel stay, is converted into GBP the day your invoice is issued (approx. 8 weeks prior to your departure). The payment is in GBP
2. Payment
The full amount of the duration is payable as stated in our sites in GBP, by credit card at the time of enrolment. We do accepted payment options include credit card or bank transfer. Or international Bank transfer, In the case of non-payment of the full balance, your booking will not be accepted by E M. Your file containing all the information required will be sent to you by email usually 7 to 10 days prior to your departure date providing we have received full payment of your programme.
In case the student needs to apply for a visa: the student is fully responsible to make the necessary arrangement with the British Embassy or Consulate.
3. Changes to booking Prior to your departure
For every change requested prior to the start of the course, there will be an administration charge of GBP 30 to be paid on top of any price difference from the original booking dates to the new ones.
Following your departure
Following your departure, if you decide to shorten or change the initial booking, you will not be entitled to a refund.
4. Cancellation
Concerning language studies abroad
a) A potential cancellation needs to be notified by email. If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to your departure, a fee of GBP 500 will be invoiced to you.
b) If your cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to your departure, you will be charged cancellation fees of a minimum GBP 500 or the following fees:
- From 29 to 15 days prior to the departure: 40% of the programme will be invoiced.
- From 14 to 8 days prior to the departure: 60% of the programme will be invoiced.
- From 7 to 1 days prior to the departure: no refund will be granted.
Concerning accommodation
Student residences accommodation will be an apartments/studios rooms.
5. Insurance
All students taking a language stay with E M – should be covered by an insurance policy during their time abroad. In the case of inability to travel prior to your departure (illness, accident, death of a relative, employment or loss of a job, stolen passport, early return, hospital transport, repatriation, etc.); and accident and health insurance. It is also necessary to announce your departure abroad to your health insurance/social security provider (or additional mutual insurance company).
6. Conditions of admission into the destination country
You are responsible of obtaining the information about the country's entry requirements, the documentation and visas needed to travel, the security situation of the country, healthcare, vaccinations, local laws and customs, etc. You are responsible for respecting all the major instructions concerning your journey.
If you fail to do so, the fees, in particular the cancellation fees, will be at your charge, except if it is due to incorrect information from E M –
E M will not be held responsible in case the student is denied a visa or is not allowed to enter the country.
Please note minor students travelling alone or with an adult who is not their legal guardian may be required an extra (official) document signed by their parents, second parent or legal guardian(s) authorising them to travel. Each country decides if it requires the child to have an official authorisation from their parent(s) or guardian. It’s the parents /legal guardian’s responsibility to check, before the child travels, the requirements of the country the minor student is travelling both to and from.
7. Reserved rights of the organiser
E M – reserve the right to refuse an enrolment or to expel a participant if their behaviour detracts from the smooth running of the programme, if it contradicts the rules of the establishment or if it breaks the law of the host country. All fees, including the return journey, fines, etc. are at the expense of the participant or of the parents. The participants, or their legal guardians, are also responsible for any damages or losses caused during their stay in the host home.
Changes to programme
The student acknowledges and agrees that E M may change the structure and content of an advertised programme in order to comply with local rules around health and safety and in order to protect the health, safety and well-being of students. These changes may include, but are not limited to:
- Changes in how a particular programme is delivered.
8. Responsibility of the organiser
E M – can in no case be held responsible in the case of an accident in the place of the stay or during the journey. E M – assumes no responsibility for compensation requests linked to airline agreements. The student, client passenger is responsible to organize his or her airline or train tickets.
E M – shall not be in breach of this agreement nor liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under this agreement if such delay or failure result from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to: fire; natural disaster; acts of government; failure of partner schools, suppliers or sub-contractors; labour disputes or civil unrest; criminal, terrorist or threatened terrorist activities of any kind; pandemics and other public health emergencies; any negligent or wilful act or failure to act by any third party; or any other cause beyond the direct control of E M – (each a “Force Majeure Event”).
9. Accommodation and host family
The contact details of the host family (name, telephone, full address) will be communicated to you by email 10 to 7 days prior to your departure. It is possible that a last-minute change can take place for reasons beyond our control., the presence of children and the presence of domestic animals are not guaranteed. If you require a special diet, follow medical treatment or suffers from any allergies, our host family or Admissions Centre must be informed before the start of the programme.
When it comes to accommodation, E M is committed to providing suitable accommodation for up to two students of the same sex sharing a room. E M will do its best to avoid placing client in a host family where students of the same mother tongue already reside. However, during high season periods (June, July and August) it cannot be guaranteed.
10. Customs of the countries where the programmes are taking place
The student must adapt to the way of life and customs of the visiting country.
The student agrees to respect differences, considering race, culture, religion, sex, beliefs, or even disabilities. Not only is it important in an increasingly globalized world, but it prepares us to be in solidarity, to value and learn from others, to be tolerant and respectful, and to avoid making decisions based on prejudice and stereotypes. The consumer agrees to respect the laws of the destination country.
Upon registration, you agree to attend class and respect the prohibitions of consumption of tobacco, alcohol and drugs.
In the event you do not comply with the laws of the destination, the host family reserves the right to expel you from the programme. In such case, the student will assume the expenses originated by the early return.
11. Cancellation of a programme
The organiser may cancel a programme in the case of unforeseeable circumstances, by order of local authorities, a strike, natural disaster, unrest or other restrictive reasons. The total amount paid for the course will be immediately returned; however, in all cases, the organiser reserves the right to keep compensation for the services partially provided.
12. Price changes
E M – Language studies abroad reserves the right to modify the prices in the case of unpredictable changes, such as monetary fluctuations, an increase in transport costs, or the introduction or increase of state taxes like airport taxes or VAT. If the increase is more than 10% of the rate confirmed by E M – you have the right to terminate your contract with E M, without paying any charge, by registered post, within 10 days following our confirmation.
13. Course material
The course material is not systematically included in the price of the stay. In this case, it is the responsibility of the student to bring his or her material with them or purchase it on arrival.
14. Bank holidays
E M classes run only Monday to Friday and not on bank holidays or the weekends.
15. Promotional material
E M – reserves the right to keep and/or use, for promotional purposes, the images and photographs or videos which were taken within the framework of a language study trip in agreement with the participants. In return, E M – commits itself to confidentiality and discretion, in order to preserve the rights of its clients, in accordance with the current legislation.
16. Flights / Trains
The flights or train tickets are the full responsibility of the students, parent or guardian, for both arrival and departures
17. Data protection
E M – guarantees that it will treat your personal information in accordance with the applicable laws relating to the protection of privacy. You have the right to object, upon request and free of charge, to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes, and you have the right to access and rectify your data. 18. Juniors
1. Enrolment & confirmation
By enrolling, you accept the contract terms and conditions of E M, once we have received your full payment via our website or bank transfer, we will confirm your stay within 7 days. If the weeks you have chosen are full, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer an alternative dates. We recommend that you book your flight/train ticket once you have received your booking confirmation from our admissions centre. In the case of a late enrolment (less than 2 weeks prior to your departure), a last-minute fee of GBP 30 is invoiced.
2. Payment
Your enrolment fee must be paid in full in our website by credit card or debit card at the time of reservation, for the duration of your stay 8 weeks prior to your arrival If you book through a consultancy agency, we are only bound to fulfil the contract once your payment has been transferred to us. Young participants can book an unaccompanied minor service for their flights with the airline company. Once booked, the Host family welcoming the participant must be informed of this at the time of registration. Additional fees of GBP 20 will be charged for this service.
3. Following your departure
Following your departure, if you decide to shorten or your stay initially booked, you will not be entitled to a refund.
4. Insurance
All students partaking in a language stay with E M – should be covered by an insurance policy during their time abroad. For (illness, accident, early return, hospital transport, repatriation, death of a relative, stolen passport, accident and health insurance. It is also necessary to inform your departure abroad to your health insurance/social security provider.
5. Conditions of admission into the destination country
All the conditions required by the trip abroad (obtaining a visa, valid insurance, customs formalities, etc.) are the responsibility of the client. We will provide the client with the information given by the embassies and help you in the steps towards obtaining a visa. You are responsible for complying with the entrance requirements for your destination country. Please, be aware that in some cases you may be required to fill in a minor authorisation form to travel abroad. We recommend to check with your local authorities if this form is required in each case. If you fail to do so, the fees, especially the cancellation fees, will be at your own expense.

If your child is on a special diet, follows medical treatment or suffers from any allergies or medical condition, our Admissions Centre must be informed before the start of the programme so that the host family can accommodate and prepare for the special request When it comes to accommodation, E M is committed to try by all means that there are only two students of the same sex shearing a room in the homestay accommodation. However, during high season periods (June, July and August) we may accommodate 3 students.

10. Arrival and departure dates
The junior programme start and finish on fixed dates. In the case of an early arrival or a late departure, a charge for the extra nights as well as the airport transfer will be invoiced. Please note that a change of booking fee may be charged.
11. Activity programme and optional activities
The activities presented in our brochure or online are given by way of example and may vary according to circumstances. Please note that 1-week programme will not include weekend activities. A written release/authorisation from the legal guardian may be requested for special activities, including diving, surfing, sailing, horse riding, paragliding, canoeing, etc. If the required form is not issued at the latest 10 days before the start of the programme, E M reserves the right to cancel the activities in question. No refunds will be granted.
12. Promotional material
E M – reserves the right to keep and/or use pictures, photographs or videos taken during the course for promotional purposes, with the agreement of the parents or legal guardians. In return, E M – Language studies abroad agrees to respect the privacy of its participants in order to preserve the rights of its clients, in accordance with the current legislation.
13. Protection of personal data
E M – agrees to process your personal information in accordance with the current laws on the protection of privacy. Your personal information may be shared with the partners of E M –for the sole purpose of executing the contract. The data may also be used in order to contact and inform you about the programmes and services provided by E M. You have the right to object to the use of your personal information for marketing purposes, on request and free of charge, and you have the right to object to and rectify your personal information. The total amount of your language travel stay, is in GBP (approx. 8 weeks prior to your departure).
2. Payment
For a family booking of two participants we invoice one enrolment fee GBP 150. For each additional participant we invoice a supplement of GBP 45 to the original enrolment fee. The full amount of the stay is payable at the time of enrolment via our website for the full duration in GBP. Must be paid by credit card at the time of enrolment. The full amount does not include flights or train tickets it is the full responsibility of the client to make their own arrangement. Your file will be sent to you after we have received your payment in full (usually from 10 to 7 days prior to your departure).
